About Us
The Republican Party has been serving communities across the United States since 1854, when it was founded to help prevent the spread of slavery. Abraham Lincoln was the first Republican President, and his Republican successors from Ulysses S. Grant onward have consistently sought one thing: to make men free.

The rights of all Americans to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is what our party has sought to protect for more than a hundred-and-fifty years, and we hope to continue to protect them for a hundred-and-fifty more.

In Seattle, King County, and Washington, that goal remains unchanged. Challenges will dawn and fade, come and go, but our objective remains the same: to build a better world rooted in an appreciation for the true, the good, and the beautiful, and to conserve that world for the benefit of all.

Can you help us build that world? We believe you can.
